I am pretty sure CHATPGPT is not a regression. So I asked it and it confirmed.

It seems to me that when I learned data science, just about everything WAS a regression. These days not so much.

Dare I suggest saying that, if regression is about identifying the effects from each predictor on an outcome and trying to explain things, that these days not much is a regression at all

I do however remember how liberating or simplifying it was during under grad statistics when someone pointed out that everything was just a variant on a linear model though. Like wow. That simplifies things in my head
